The kayak is easy to set up and use out of the box. We were especially impressed by the customer service. Would highly recommend!
So I've been eyeballing these kayaks for about 2 years, and wanted to make sure that they weren't just a gimmick. First, I have to commend Tuckteck for their customer service. I accidentally forgot to add something to my order, and had to place a second order. The very next day, I receive a notice that my second shipping charge has been refunded, and everything was consolidated into one shipment.
I made a YouTube video of my first outing that can be found at the link below, but in short:
If you're thinking about getting one of these, you won't be disappointed!

I love my new Tucktec! It replaced a string of cheap inflatable kayaks, and I'm very happy with the size and durability --- I take my 6 yr old nephew along and we have more than enough room and don't have to worry about popping the boat on limbs or barnacles. Super portable too!
I'll be making a video on the folding stove soon! I like the name, "folding flame."
I just want to say that I purchased my Tucktec in 2023, and it’s the best purchase I’ve ever made! I’ve been on numerous adventures over the past year and have had nothing but good things to say about it. However, last week my kayak flipped and I lost my carrying strap. After contacting Tucktec customer support I received a new carrying strap, free of charge. I received fast responses to my emails and Daniel was able to help me out. If I didn’t love my Tucktec already, I love it even more because of the help I received and the wonderful customer service. Bravo!
I am 55 years old and not as strong as I used to be. I love my tucktec bc it allows me to stay independent and go kayaking by myself. I love my Pelican kayak but it is hard to even take it off the trailer alone and I always have to ask my husband for help. Also, we just started snowboarding to Florida from Saint Louis every year and it makes it so easy to take my kayak with me.
I only wish that I would have known about the new release of the lighter version that was released just a few weeks after I purchased mine… Still though, many people have asked me about my kayak and I have nothing but great things to say. I am staying in a 55+ community and many of the women have asked me about it. It handles great in the water and I feel very safe and secure. Love my Tucktec!!
Shipping arrived on time, and I live across the country from their facility. I’ve had the very first model of the Tucktec for 2 years now, and this one seems to be a major upgrade for a cheaper price! Can’t wait to get on the water with this bad boy.
Love my kayak very easy to put together
Got this for my Boyfriends birthday and he’s OBSESSED!
I like the fact it's lightweight and fairly easy to fold and unfold.
Portability is a #1 thing here, it's so awesome to be able to just throw this thing in the car and be on water in 20 minutes. It does not fit in my trunk since I have a really small sedan, but it will definitely fit the trunk of a Corolla or Civic. And you can fit 10 of these in med size SUV! I just lay some tarp on the back seat and it fits just fine.
Setup is tough the first time, but gradually becoming a breeze within 5-7 folds.
It's perfectly stable for me, I'm 6"3' 190 lbs, and even more so with the stabilizers. I use it for fishing on calm ponds and small/medium lakes, so if you use it for what it's meant for and you will have no issues.
I would suggest an aftermarket seat. Standard one is okay but becomes a bit uncomfortable after about an hour. For some it might work fine though, it's a matter of your size and how you use the kayak. Whatever seat you end up using it's VERY important to attach it as per instructions. If you attach it to incorrectly the weight distribution may cause your kayak to bend and sink.
Standard pedal is okay, it's free so absolutely no complaints. Anchor is so so, a bit small, but overall works fine.
Another cool thing about this kayak is all the free space inside. Plenty of room to fit all the fishing gear, small cooler and a backpack.
I would absolutely recommend it for beginners and those who want that portability. It's amazing for the price.
Very portable kayak! Folds are tough on the first time, but it gets easier!
I got this folding kayak to adventure with on my motorcycle and to pack it in my car. This kayak was a perfect fit for my endeavors! So far, I took it out four 6 hour days in a row in the Washington winter. I am loving this Tucktec kayak!
strong handle and light enough to take with us on trips in our hatchback. Eager to get to Spring and get out on the water!
These folks are AMAZING!!
