Tucktec is amazing ! Never fails to put a smile on my face you can be paddling all around your local and state lakes under appropriate conditions asap ! Wanted a kayak for 1 year or 2 but didn’t wanna rig up my car , and I’m also into the whole minimalist kind of idea so as soon as I laid eyes on it I had to have it bought it two weeks later . I do like my Thingy, but I wish it could sit upright and be closed.

Durable, extremely easy/simple assembly, feels secure even in choppy water. Easy to carry, and stow. Best purchase i’ve made in a long time!

I am delighted with this kayak. It is as advertised. Light, portable. Easy to set up after watching the instructional video. It is exactly what I hoped for: I store it in a closet, carry it to the river beach, set it up and in minutes I am out on still waters. I stay pretty close to shore, but so do the dolphins, sea turtles and shore birds

First time out people were coming over and asking about it! It’s so portable - I can’t wait to spring to take it on some kayak camping trips! I will definitely be buying another one for my husband!

The "thingy" was as stiff as the kayak which means it took me a lot of muscle power and time to "assemble" it but after a couple of times it gets a little easier.The stabilizer kit does not work on my refurbished kayak which was probably an older model but I thought about what to do with it and with a little modification I now can use it as side "protection" inside the kayak for my legs and it actually works very well.the rest of the bundle I haven´t used so far.I think that the oven might be useful as a stand/ground protection for one of these one-time grills available since it is probably too small to be used as a cooking device.All in all I´m very satisfied with the bundle and the carrying bag is very nice with room for cords,gloves and other small accessories.How durable it is time will tell but if you are in the process of buying a kayak why not invest in the bundle as well. Maybe the company should include a t-shirt in the bundle so that you "have it all". Thank you again for a great buy ! best regards Peter in Sweden

Takes no place to store. No car rack headaches! Carry it with its shoulder strap, paddle n' stuff in the other hand, and do just 1 trip between the car and water! Even when assembled, it carries quite well. Unfolds / folds in about ONE minute if I hurry. The seat ain't no living room couch, but does the job respectably. Doesn't track like a keeled hull, but well enough and fast enough to go against "flat water current n' waves". My only warning is to bring swimming / diving fins, to push / tow the boat if you capsize, because getting back in is unlikely. But it's also very unlikely that one would fall off in the first place. Especially with the optional stabilizers. These don't slow you down significantly and allow for a heavier load margin. It's more of a canoe than a kayak, the whole hull being open. This allows to bring 2 beagle-size dogs along, plus stuff. Since driving with a boat on the car top burns 15 % more fuel, this lil' boat will pay for itself in a couple of road trips. And there's the cool factor, one could admit.

I'm a regular kayaker currently working away from home for a year, so I wanted a boat that I could easily get in the back of my car and in the lift to my apartment. This obvious lead me to the Tucktec. I wasn't expecting much from this boat, but thought it satisfy my need whist away from my regular kayak. Boat arrived in reasonable time after perchance, and I went for my maiden voyage last weekend.
First impression, out of the box (I had bought a refurbished boat) was the boat looks brand new. Not a mark on it, If they had told me it was new, I would have believed them.
The boat is very easy to assemble, although I'd say you would have to have reasonably strong hands to get the clips done up. But assembly is fast, and the kayak feels strong once assembled. It's also very light to carry.
Out on the water, she feels very stable, turns very easily, and the skeg means the tracking is surprisingly good. I was genuinely surprised and delighted at the performance. I love this boat!
If you are a beginner, thinking about getting into kayaking, or like me, you are staying/ living in an apartment, I think this would be a wise buy. My first boat was inflatable, which I ended up replacing within the first few months of purchase. I don’t think that would have been the case if I’d bought a Tucktec.
Note to Tucktec, if you could build one of these 14ft long, and narrower, I would buy one immediately.

Won’t be using until next spring. Looking forward to getting out on the water.

Because of winter upon us, I was only able to kayak one time since I purchased. What I did use, the kayak carry bag, hat, dry bag, worked well. So far super excited about my kayak purchase. Looking forward to the spring and how it performs going forward.

First : 10 days from order to delivery to Sweden including custom inspection etc must be considered great ! everything from order process,invoicing etc worked perfectly.The product information from the website was totally correct. The kayak was exactly as described although assembly was considerably harder than I expected due to the plastic being very stiff.It took me over an hour to be able to bend it in shape - not because of any fault or me being weak,haven´t been watching the video or anything (same with the Thingy) but simply because the first time it is very stiff.The next time it was slightly easier and it will probably be more and more easy the more I assemble it as many other customers also have noted.
So,I´m very satisfied with my purchase.I haven´t been able to get it on the water due to bad weather and winter coming but I´m sure it will fully meet my expectations.I´ve been paddling since the early 70 s and I think this is a great alternative to regular hardshell kayaks considering that it is not obviously an expedition kayak.I must also say,it really feels good to buy a product being manufactured in USA instead of everything being made in Asia these days.Thank you very much guys ! best regards
