I'd like to leave a very positive review for your kayaks. I bought one for my hard to buy for husband at Christmas and he loves it! He travels doing sales and this was perfect since he loves to fish when he's on the road as a way to pass time in the evenings. It's very cold in northern NY right now but we set it up in the living room a few times to learn it. He can't wait to take it on the road!
Please let me know if we can post a picture.
I'm happy to leave your product a raving review! I have tried many types of portable watercraft in my time and for the money, the tucktec is by far the best deal!
I did not have high expectations because your kayak is far cheaper than alternatives and would have been happy if it even came close to being as advertised. After only a few practice runs at assembly, I quickly got it down to less than 5 minutes. I see no reason I will not be down to less than 2 minutes in no time. As far as performance goes I could not be happier. There is a little bit of "flex" to it when assembled, but not in a weak way. It tracks as well as expected with a small kayak and seems to maneuver better as it's very light on the water. To sum up, I am very happy with my purchase and feel it is a very good product for the price range.
I live in an apartment and saw your kayak. I am so glad that I gave it a try because now I have a kayak that I can carry up the stairs and keep in the closet! I'm not very big and it's not too heavy for me. 5 stars for a truley portable kayak!
Do not buy unless you like to get a LOT of attention! I draw a crowd every time I set this thing up. I should get paid as a salesman for you since I spend more time answering questions than I do getting my kayak in the water LOL! Even other kayakers ask me about it when I'm on the water. How does it handle?? How does it work?? does it leak?? LOL I need to find a more private place to use this thing!
The company should point out on the website that shipping can take 2 or 3 weeks to get your kayak. Other than that it is a good buy.
This little boat had her "sea trial" off Savin Hill Beach in Dorchester yesterday, and I'm quite pleased with how she does on the water. Tracks much better than my Advanced Elements Firefly, and is very stable and comfy for beginners, without slowing down too much. After I came in to the beach, a few local kids got to try it out.
It's far simpler and faster (and requires less muscle) to put this Tucktec boat together than the beautiful (but frustrating) Onak canoe which I splurged on last year.
My next plans are to compare this side-by-side with a conventional rental kayak on the Charles River, so I'll keep you posted.
There are a lot of small lakes in out-of-the-way places around me and now for the first time I can get a boat back into them all! Nothing cooler than having a kayak in my car that I can use when ever I'm close to a good fishing spot 5 stars!!

I'm having a blast with this! I tell everyone about my folding kayak!
I wish I had bought one sooner. I've been though a bunch of inflatable kayaks and rafts, none lasting more than a season. This one looks like it will last since taking it out and hitting rocks and sand bars on my creek it held up. I needed something I can pack back and it works for that. I only have one complaint about the company that it took a long time to get.
I just wish I had thought of it. I can see a few areas that could be improved, but overall it's a great product. It does what it does and it does it well.
My wife and I love our foldable kayaks! We decided to get two and can't believe we can each have ouir own kayak to take along for day trips. Keen product. Nice company. Quick to help with newbie questions.
We always wanted to bring some sort of canoe or kayak with us when we car camp. We did not want to do another inflatable and this has been just too fun for us! Thank you!
I know this is a fairly new product, but this little company did their homework. It's not like a 12 foot touring kayak but it hits all the points it needs to straight on. It stores easily, it sets up easily, it handles great, and it folds up fast. If you want a big long heavy kayak then this is not for you. If you want a kayak that feels solid and stable, without storage or trailer issues, then this one's for you.
I must say I am very surprised that it surpassed my expectations.
5 stars for setup ease, portability, and for good tracking in flatwater. 4 stars for a carrying strap which broke far too soon, and for latches which can un-do too esily while underway. (Ergo, be sure to obtain the suggested cotter pins!) I look forward to lots more kayaking this summer, thanks to this Tucktec boat!
First thing, I would have given this a 5 star but the shipping was very slow. I did get an update after asking but it still took longer than 2 weeks to get.
The kayak is exactly what it says. It's the only kayak I have ever owned that I can carry alone too! Overall I am happy with it.
It was a little annoying to set up the first time, but I got the hang of it and now it seems really easy. I guess I just had to learn it. It's really good on the water. Really light and seems like it is just as stable as my other kayaks. It is easier to paddle though. I bought it for the portability and to take camping. It works perfect for that. It fits in my trunk!
